has now been awarded a pension of eight shillings and

nine pence a week, with effect from the 18th December 1916.

I note that, in the circumstances, Mr. Secretary Long

considers the Hongkong War Charities Committes need not

be asked to make any further grant to this lady, and

am communicating his opinion to Hongkong by the outgoing

mail.
